As a Volunteer, you have to have a strong faith, perseverance, and discipline. Serving as a volunteer is a selfless position and you must think of others first before yourself. You will be required to provide support to the LIFT executive staff and Board of Directors to promote and enhance our program goals and objectives. 

 

Applying as a volunteer is like a job application. You will be required to work at least one day a week and serve in one or more of the following capacities:

• Administrative:  provide clerical and/or administrative support to the Executive Team;

•  Event Planning:  provide assistance to Executive Team at planning events, such as fundraisers, social events, partnership meetings, etc.

• Program: Assist executive staff in developing training courses and communicate information regarding educational programs to foster care youth: and  provide administrative support

• Student Education/Training: Conduct LIFT training workshops to Mentees and revise, develop training curriculum for young adults participating in our programs.

• Fundraising activities: serve on a committee to plan fundraising events for the purpose of generating revenue for the non-profit;

• Deliveries/Pick-up:  provide support to LIFT through transporting products, services, and other materials on behalf of the executive team;

• Social Media/Marketing/Communication:  Promote the marketing campaigns for special networking events, and provide assistance to update and/or maintain the non-profit’s Social Media Plan including its website.
